About DM2Medical
DM2Medical is a London-based medical travel concierge — not a hospital or clinic. We coordinate medical journeys to Budapest for UK patients across a range of specialties: orthopaedic surgery, executive health screening, dental treatment, cosmetic surgery, and stroke & neuro rehabilitation. Our role is to manage every detail — from hospital selection and surgeon matching to travel, accommodation, logistics, and aftercare — so your medical journey is seamless, discreet, and stress-free.
No. DM2Medical is a medical travel concierge based in London. We do not provide medical treatment directly. All surgery, rehabilitation, screening, and clinical care is delivered by accredited partner hospitals and experienced specialists in Budapest. Our role is to coordinate the planning, logistics, communication, and support around your medical journey.
There are two separate payments. You pay the hospital or clinic directly for all medical treatment (surgery, hospital stay, rehabilitation, screening, medications). You pay DM2Medical separately for our coordination service. Our coordination packages start from £350 (Essential) up to £1,100 (Elite). This keeps everything transparent — we never handle your medical payments.
Essential (£350) covers core coordination, scheduling, and hospital liaison. Comfort (£450) adds enhanced logistics, accommodation recommendations, and airport transfer coordination. Premium (£600) — our most popular — includes full records management, pre-treatment virtual consultation coordination, and aftercare planning with UK GP liaison. Elite (£1,100) is a fully done-for-you VIP service with private aviation on request, luxury hotel coordination, and a dedicated concierge throughout your stay.
We strongly recommend it. Medical travel insurance provides financial protection and peace of mind. You can get an instant, no-obligation quote through our trusted insurance partner via the DM2Medical website — designed specifically for medical travel.

Orthopaedics
Orthopaedic Surgery
Budapest has advanced private hospitals with EU-accredited standards, experienced orthopaedic surgeons, robotic-assisted surgery (ROSA®), and significantly lower costs than most Western countries. Scheduling is typically within 2–4 weeks — far faster than NHS waiting lists. The city is just 2.5 hours from London with multiple daily flights from across Europe.
Yes. Every orthopaedic surgery coordinated by DM2Medical includes a structured rehabilitation programme. This typically includes daily physiotherapy sessions starting within 24 hours of surgery, mobility progression support, a hotel recovery stay with continued outpatient physiotherapy, and a clear aftercare plan for when you return home.
After surgery (typically 2–3 nights in hospital), you move to a comfortable hotel while continuing daily outpatient physiotherapy at the hospital. Sessions focus on walking, mobility progression, strength building, and confidence. Standard recovery is days 3–7, with extended options up to day 14 or transfer to a specialist thermal rehabilitation centre.
DM2Medical coordinates hotel selection, booking, and all logistics around your recovery stay. After hospital discharge, you stay at a partner hotel — such as the Ensana Thermal or Ensana Grand on Margaret Island — while attending daily physiotherapy sessions. For clients seeking a longer recuperation away from Budapest, we also coordinate stays at Evergreen Medical in the Zalakaros/Lake Balaton region. See our Recovery & Aftercare page for full details.
A typical orthopaedic journey is 7–14 days. This includes pre-operative assessment, surgery, hospital stay (2–3 nights), and hotel recovery with daily physiotherapy. The exact duration depends on your procedure and recovery progress.
You leave Budapest with a full written treatment plan, exercise programme for home recovery, and all medical records securely transferred to your doctor at home. Virtual follow-up consultations with your Budapest specialist are arranged. DM2Medical continues to support you after you return home.
Dental
Dental Treatment
We coordinate the full range of dental treatments at Bátorfi Fogászat in Budapest — dental implants (single, multiple, full-arch), porcelain veneers, zirconia crowns and bridges, full-mouth restoration, inlays, onlays, composite bonding, and LOVJA luxury diamond-polished restorations. If you have a specific dental need, contact us and we'll confirm whether it's covered.
For most implant treatments, yes — the osseointegration process (where the implant fuses with the bone) takes 3–6 months, so a second trip is required for the final restoration. For veneers, crowns, and other non-implant work, some procedures can be completed in a single visit. Your written treatment plan will confirm the exact visit schedule before you commit.
Once you reach out to DM2Medical, we'll collect your dental history and any existing X-rays and share them with Bátorfi Fogászat. The practice provides a detailed written treatment plan with full itemised costs before your first trip. You approve the plan before committing to anything — there are no surprises.
Yes. Bátorfi Fogászat uses EU-standard implant systems and dental materials — the same systems used in UK private dental practices. The quality of materials is equivalent; the cost difference reflects lower labour and overhead costs in Budapest, not a reduction in materials quality.
LOVJA is a premium dental restoration system producing a diamond-like brilliance finish with natural strength. It is available in three finishes — Ceraface, Ceracon, and Ceramirr. Bátorfi Fogászat is the official Hungarian partner clinic for LOVJA, which means it cannot be sourced through any other clinic in Hungary. LOVJA restorations start from €1,000 per tooth.
For most non-surgical dental procedures (veneers, crowns, bonding), you can typically fly the same day or the following day. For implant placements, the clinical team will advise based on your specific procedure — generally 24–48 hours post-surgery is recommended before flying. DM2Medical coordinates all travel logistics around your confirmed discharge.
Health Screening
Executive Health Screening
The core screening packages at Dr Rose Private Hospital cover blood panel and biochemistry, ECG and cardiac risk assessment, abdominal ultrasound, lung function testing, chest X-ray, blood pressure and vascular health, and an internal medicine specialist consultation. Extended packages add cancer marker screening, ophthalmology, and additional specialist consultations. All tests and consultations are completed in a single visit.
Same-week results are standard — and for many key blood markers and ECG readings, results are available the same day. Your results are compiled in English and provided to you digitally before you leave Budapest or within 24 hours of your screening appointment.
Yes. DM2Medical coordinates secure digital transfer of your full results to your UK GP as part of the standard service. You can also choose to share results with other treating clinicians. All records are handled under GDPR-compliant protocols.
Absolutely. Many clients combine their screening appointment — which typically takes half a day — with an overnight or two-night stay in Budapest. DM2Medical can arrange accommodation, recommend local restaurants and experiences, and even coordinate a spa or wellness session alongside your screening day.
If your screening identifies findings requiring further investigation, the Budapest specialist team will explain the results and recommend next steps. DM2Medical coordinates the communication with your UK GP and can, if needed, arrange further diagnostic appointments either in Budapest or assist you in accessing the right UK specialist.
Stroke & Neuro Rehab
Stroke & Neuro Rehabilitation
ARNI (Acquired Neurological Impairment) is a task-specific rehabilitation approach developed in the UK, focused on real functional outcomes — walking, balance, reaching, gripping, standing from a chair — rather than general exercise. Unlike standard physiotherapy, ARNI directly retrains the neurological pathways governing specific functional movements. It was developed specifically for stroke, Parkinson's disease, and acquired neurological injury, and the research base supports its effectiveness for meaningful functional gains.
The Budapest programme treats stroke (ischaemic and haemorrhagic), Parkinson's disease, acquired brain injury, multiple sclerosis (functional focus), spinal cord injury rehabilitation, post-surgical neurological recovery, balance and fall prevention, and upper limb functional retraining. If you have a condition not listed here, contact DM2Medical and we'll confirm suitability with the specialist team.
Sessions are daily and intensive, typically 1–2 hours per day of active ARNI functional training, supplemented by lower-intensity practice and rest. The 5-day programme is an intensive start; the 10-day and 14-day programmes allow more progressive loading and a more comprehensive home programme to be built. Pásztor Gabriella designs each programme individually — no two clients follow the same protocol.
Yes, and we actively encourage it where possible. Family presence during sessions supports motivation and means family members can learn key techniques to continue supporting recovery at home. DM2Medical coordinates accommodation for accompanying family members alongside the patient's logistics.
You leave with a detailed, individualised home exercise programme designed by Pásztor Gabriella for your specific condition and functional level. Your rehabilitation notes are transferred to your UK care team. Virtual follow-up with the Budapest team is arranged as part of the standard programme. The home programme is a continuation of the intensive work done in Budapest — not a step down.
Yes. The ARNI method is delivered individually, with sessions designed around each patient's current capacity. DM2Medical has coordinated programmes for patients with significant mobility limitations and for older clients who cannot access intensive neurological rehabilitation elsewhere. An initial clinical health assessment ensures the programme is appropriate before any commitment.
Cosmetic Surgery
Cosmetic Surgery
Every surgeon in our cosmetic surgery network is individually vetted by DM2Medical. We only work with specialists who have extensive, verifiable experience, internationally recognised training, and a strong track record with international patients. Our lead surgeons — Dr Seffer István (40+ years, 250+ scientific publications), Dr Seffer András Gergely (13 years European practice, 10,000+ procedures), and Dr Bodri Krisztina (founder of INFUBAR Aesthetics & Healthcare Center) — are among Budapest's most experienced plastic surgeons.
DM2Medical first has a free consultation with you to understand your goals, medical history, and concerns. We then match you with the right surgeon and arrange a virtual pre-consultation directly with them. A full written treatment plan and personalised cost estimate are provided before any commitment. You proceed only when you're entirely satisfied with the plan.
This depends on the procedure. After a facelift, rhinoplasty, or breast augmentation, most surgeons recommend a minimum of 5–7 days in Budapest before flying. After blepharoplasty or less invasive procedures, earlier travel may be possible. Your surgeon will confirm safe travel criteria based on your specific recovery. DM2Medical manages accommodation and logistics for whatever duration is clinically advised.
You leave Budapest with full post-operative instructions, surgical notes, and a recovery plan in English. DM2Medical coordinates a virtual follow-up with your Budapest surgeon at 3–6 weeks post-operatively. Your surgical records are shared with your UK GP for ongoing aftercare. DM2Medical remains available throughout your recovery for any concerns.
Yes. DM2Medical coordinates a comfortable recovery stay — including hotel selection, transfers, and any post-operative support — as part of all cosmetic surgery packages. We work with 5-star hotels in central Budapest that are well-suited to discreet post-operative recovery, including the Four Seasons, Kempinski, and Aria. For clients who prefer a quieter recovery outside the city, longer stays can also be arranged.
