Chronic gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD) can significantly affect quality of life — and for many patients, long-term medication is not a satisfactory solution. Where lifestyle changes and medication have not provided adequate relief, a specialist assessment can determine whether a surgical or interventional option is appropriate.
DM2Medical works with specialist gastroenterology and upper GI surgery centres across Europe. Our role is to identify the right specialist for your clinical profile, coordinate every aspect of your diagnostic journey and, where surgery is recommended, arrange the full logistics of your treatment and recovery.

Surgical approaches we can coordinate
The treating specialist will determine which — if any — surgical option is clinically appropriate for you, following a thorough assessment and diagnostics. DM2Medical does not recommend or prescribe treatment.
Laparoscopic Fundoplication
The established gold-standard anti-reflux procedure, in which the top of the stomach is wrapped around the lower oesophagus to reinforce the valve mechanism.
Schoppmann Procedure
A specialist variation of fundoplication associated with Professor Sebastian Schoppmann's centre of excellence, particularly suitable for complex or recurrent reflux cases.
LINX Reflux Management System
A small, flexible ring of magnetic titanium beads implanted laparoscopically around the lower oesophageal sphincter to restore the natural barrier against reflux.
RefluxStop Procedure
An innovative sphincter augmentation device that combines a fundoplication with a gastric implant — a newer option for carefully selected patients.
